At the same time, a further 800 square metres of production space was created in the Neuhaus factory. The Neuhaus site also encompassed a new administration building for office staff.

The central dispatch building in the Hersbruck factory and a new canteen accommodating 215 diners were opened. The dispatch building had capacity for a sophisticated garment carousel and approximately 35,000 items of clothing.

Took part in Men’s Fashion Week in Cologne.

1974

The company relocated its headquarters from Neuhaus to Hersbruck on 26 August 1974 which was a logical step in the company’s comprehensive expansion. A corresponding change of name took place, changing from Bekleidungswerk August Groß GmbH & Co. with its headquarters in Neuhaus to Bekleidungswerke Groß GmbH & Co. KG, with its headquarters in Hersbruck.

1979

The company’s sales expanded from focussing on Germany to looking at sales beyond its borders. Key markets were the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria. Independent sales representatives in these countries, but also in Germany, constantly drove the sales figures upwards.

It became necessary to build a new dispatch/logistics hall to avoid capacity bottlenecks. An area of 3,650 m² was built over two levels. A short time later, another storey was added with an area of 1,850 m².
