With the two sublines Savile Row by CG – CLUB of GENTS and Your Own Party by CG – CLUB of GENTS, the brand offers English-style looks that are both rebellious and elegant as well as suits for weddings and special occasions.

The headquarters have been located in Hersbruck on the outskirts of Nuremberg since 1963.
A lot has happened since then…

This is our home and administration centre for development & creation, sewing & storing, managing & marketing.

It is where we manufacture small series and prototypes, as well as managing all production logistics – from the raw material to the finished product. – It is all located here, in Hersbruck.

Sales are carried by a multichannel distribution system along wholesale partners, online shops and the company’s own factory outlet shops.

CARL GROSS and CG – CLUB of GENTS presents their Spring/Summer 2024 collections at Pitti Immagine Uomo in June for the first time.

CG – CLUB of GENTS is ranked as one of the top brands in the suit study conducted by the German trade magazine Textilwirtschaft for the third time. CARL GROSS is voted the best brand in sustainability part.

Launch of the “NextGen project by CG – CLUB of GENTS” line.

Launch of the “CARL GROSS SAY YES” line.

2021

Both the headquarters and the first two factories are certified with the GOTS sustainability seal. Carl Gross launches the first GOTS-certified NOS suit.

2020

Launch of the subline “CARL GROSS CONCEPT GREEN”.
The sustainable CONCEPT GREEN brand laid the foundation for a new way of thinking and acting at CARL GROSS brand. Sustainable products.

2019

Launch of the subline “Your Own Party by CG – CLUB of GENTS”. The classic wedding suit or even the special occasion suit is interpreted in a new and young way. While in the past, especially for weddings, fancy models were in demand, today the suit should be able to be worn for more than just one occasion.

CG – CLUB of GENTS is ranked as one of the top brands in the suit study conducted by the German trade magazine Textilwirtschaft for the second time.

2017

Launch of the subline Savile Row by CG – CLUB of GENTS.
With high-quality Italian fabrics, semi-sartorial tailoring, traditional silhouettes and designs with a fashionable new twist as well as eye-catching patterns and elaborately crafted details, “Savile Row by CG – CLUB of GENTS” aims to ignite consumers passion for apparel.

2016

The CARL GROSS BLACK LINE subline is introduced under CARL GROSS. It represents an uncompromising symbiosis of high-quality fabrics, innovative embellishments, high-quality details and finishing – the premium class of menswear.

CG – CLUB of GENTS is ranked twice in the suit study conducted by the German trade magazine Textilwirtschaft. 1st place for the fashion consciousness of the brand and 2nd place overall in all criteria judged.

2011

Relaunch of the CG brand to CG – CLUB of GENTS.
The first online store goes live.

2010

Relaunch of the CARL GROSS brand with “Since 1925” brand extension.

2006

The new 7.000 sqm logistics and warehouse building opens on the premises in Hersbruck.

2003

The brand CG is launched. It is positioned as a new, progressive label alongside CARL GROSS.

2002

The newly built showroom in Hersbruck is completed.

1996

The first mix-and-match suit is introduced. Jacket, waistcoat and trousers can be purchased in different sizes and worn together. Colour parity is guaranteed on re-buys.

1994

The collection name “Collection Gross” becomes “CARL GROSS”.

1993

Peter Gross, 3rd generation of the Gross family, takes over the company.

1983

The company name changes. “Bekleidungswerke Gross” becomes “Création Gross”.

1963

The company moves into new premises in Hersbruck. The headquarter of Création Gross GmbH & Co. KG. is still located here today.

1958

The company begins fully specialising in menswear, making suits, trousers, coats and uniform jackets.

1951

The sons Karl and Waldemar Gross join the company. The company moves into a new factory building.
In the production now work 100 people on 70 sewing machines. Mainly ladies’ coats and sports jackets are manufactured.

The collection name “Collection Gross” is established.

1949

Reconstruction and new start after the war years. 50 people were employed. The company now had 46 electrically driven sewing machines. Men’s coats and pants were manufactured.

1929

Begin to manufacture pants in small quantities “in series” in stock. Sold were the goods in the own store and on weekends by bicycle across the country.

1925

The “Bekleidungswerk August Gross “, Franconia, Germany. The company is established with 20 members of staff, who initially make tailor-made clothing. Today the company is still family owned and operated.

2023
