With the launch of the NextGen project, the menswear label CG – CLUB of GENTS introduces several sustainable products for the Fall/Winter 2023 season. The brand pursues the goal of designing clothes in a holistic and sustainable way. The focus is on the use of selected raw materials and components. As a criterion for sustainable clothing, this collection uses only outer fabrics whose materials are 100% recycled or GOTS certified. With the NextGen project, the brand is also continuing its previous cooperation with Waste2Wear.
The products of the NextGen project can be found in the collection of CG – CLUB of GENTS, as well as in the sublines Savile Row by CG – CLUB of GENTS and Your Own Party by CG – CLUB of GENTS. In the first step, five new products will be available in the mainline CG – CLUB of GENTS. This includes a quilted jacket, which is produced from 100% damaged and recycled fishing nets by their partner Waste2Wear. An oversized shirt jacket and a vest with matching trousers made from GOTS-certified cotton complete the range. Another item in the NextGen project is a jacket made from a 100% recycled wool blend by Italian weaver Nova Fides.
The components of the styles are recycled wool, recycled plastics, or GOTS-certified fabrics. In each season, qualities, fits, and colors are added, which can be optimally combined with the products of previous seasons. In this way, the products do not become one-time seasonal items, but a long-lasting companion. All products of the NextGen project are identified with a corresponding hangtag and sew-in label as a brand label. To round off the project, clothes hangers and garment bags have also been developed, with attention paid to the use of selected raw materials and components.
